又是瑞典,我写过很多关于瑞典的后摇乐团.而这次来的是EF.
2003年在哥德堡他们开始形成.他们发行过四张个人Demo唱片,7寸单曲一张,混音EP一张和完整的专辑"Give me beauty… Or give me death!" 和"I am responsible".且在欧洲完成多次演出,而且唱片的销售量非常可观.
而近来令国内音乐爱好者兴奋的是EF将要在2011来中国多个城市.门票已公开发售.
It all started in Gothenburg, Sweden back in 2003; the embryo of ef was already active but this was the year that it all went towards a new direction. New members came into the group and the sound was totally reformed. The following years it all went pretty quick; besides four self recorded demos, one 7” single, one remix CD EP and two full length albums (“Give me beauty… Or give me death!” – 2006 and “I am responsible” – 2008) they accomplished 10 full European tours, numerous festival shows and weekend adventures. ef showed the world that the DIY-motto is possible and sold around 4000 records in Europe (without any proper distribution). ef may now count themselves as one of the hardest working independent bands in Europe and in late summer of 2009 the three remaining core members started to write new songs to what would become the already critically acclaimed third full length album “Mourning golden morning”. The songs were recorded early October at the legendary vintage studio Music-A-Matic (The Knife, Millencollin, Soundtrack Of Our Lives and m.m) by producer/engineer Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, The Perishers, Jeniferever and m.m). This is the first time ever the band has dared to bring in an outsider to engineer and produce the record. It’s all mixed and mastered in the great Tonteknik Studios (In Flames, Cult of Luna, Refused and m.m). Whereas the previous records were recorded with five band members these songs have been written and recorded as a three piece with only guitars and drums – which might seem pretty unusual when you are creating epic and dynamic music, often referred to as post rock. However, this was an interesting new way to create and communicate. We don’t want to put too many words in your mouths or thoughts into your heads by explaining the music too much. We’d rather let you listen and determine for yourself. “Mourning golden morning” is the result of three guys, a few years older than with the last record, fed up with the typical repetitive post rock idea; build-build-build-explode-cliché and delayed-drained-guitar-cascades. ef wanted to create something different, take it one step further towards something more interesting. We would like to say that it’s more focused, honest, and dead-on. “Mourning golden morning” saw the light of day on April 1st 2010 via And the Sound Records (EU) and distributed by Cargo Records (G/A/S) and Suburban Records (Be/Ne/Lux). It was supported by a massive 7 week tour through Europe and the UK in April and May and both the live shows and the album got raving reviews all over Europe.
In the fall of 2010 this exploding live band will be back on the roads again!
